GETTING TO BELLEVUE FARMSTAY

Our own family use public transport to get to and from Melbourne Airport, as it is great value (inexpensive) and a pleasant journey rolling through the countryside on the bus and train. However it can be tricky matching your flight arrival time and respective timetables as there could be long waits in between. For example, the train only runs 5 times daily to our nearest train station (called Camperdown, 20mins from Bellevue). We’ve outlined the options below, and are happy to help answer any and all Qs to guide your planning.

OPTION 1 - From Melbourne Airport (public transport)

BUS (1hr) Take the Gull Bus to Geelong Railway Station (GRS). (Buses run almost every hour). Book the Gull Bus online using their timetable. You’ll easily find their dedicated bus station right outside the terminal, look for the ‘Gull Bus’ flag signs. Approx pricing each way is $39 adult and $26 child.

TRAIN (1.5hrs) From Geelong Railway Station (GRS) take the VLine Train to Camperdown Railway Station. Be sure to book your train ticket ahead of time as it can get busy on football days! (This route is actually called the “Melbourne to Warrnambool Line”, and you’re selecting two stations along the route). Here is VLine’s online trip planner and the VLine Melb-Warrnambool timetable is here Approx pricing each way is $10.60 for adults and $5.30 for children.

BUS OR CAR (25mins) From Camperdown you have two options. Either take public transport on a bus that meets the train called Popes Timboon, here is their timetable. You’ll take Popes Bus to the Scotts Creek stop (5mins from Bellevue) and we can collect you from here. Or you can book a local taxi from Ride With Us (run by locals Sandra + Lyndon) to meet you at Camperdown Station and bring you all the way to Bellevue Farmstay. Once here you’ll also use Ride With Us for getting around the area.

OPTION 2 - from Melbourne Airport and Melbourne City (public transport)

BUS (40mins) Take the Airport Bus into Melbourne City to Southern Cross Railway Station.

TRAIN (3hrs) From Southern Cross Railway Station take the VLine Train to Camperdown Railway Station.
